Kent Redding is a Texas native who has called Austin home for over 40 years. He has been a licensed broker and member of ABoR since 2003. At ABoR, Redding has served on the MLS Compliance Committee, Governing Policy Committee (2023 Chair), Legislative Management Team and Audit Committee (2023 Chair). Serving as a Board Director for five, Redding is now the 2024 President. Outside of his local ABoR contributions, he has also served on the Texas REALTORS® Member Benefits Committee and the Professional Standards Committee.
Redding has been with Berkshire Hathaway his entire 20-year career, winning numerous national awards. He has personally earned designations in GRI, CRS, ABR, ePro, MRP, CLHMS and was a 10-year consecutive year Platinum Top 50 award winner.
Serving as an ABoR director, Redding gives back to the community that has supported him and works to ensure that every member’s input is acknowledged. In doing so, he hopes to engage membership, build trust and help provide the tools necessary to be a successful REALTOR® member.
Redding volunteers at the Community First! Village, which assists individuals experiencing homelessness in Central Texas. Two other local causes close to his heart are Hungry Souls, which provides local meals for food-insecure children, and Red Oak Hope, which works to restore the lives of survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation.
When he is not advocating in the community or for his fellow ABoR members, Redding strives to maintain a balanced life through God’s grace. He enjoys reading, running, playing basketball and spending time with his wife of over 35 years, Louise. | |
