Furthermore, the broker has control of what third-party channels they’d like to allow agents to distribute listings to—we call this “broker control.”

How to Syndicate a Listing in the MLS

  1. Add/Edit — select your listing or input a new one

  2. “Remarks/Tours/Internet” tab

  3. Internet Display section

  4. Select your settings for:

    1. Internet Display? (Yes or No)

    2. Internet Automated Valuation (AVM) Display? (Yes or No)

    3. Internet Consumer Comment? (Yes or No)

    4. Display Property Address? (Yes/No)

    5. Select the third-party sites you want to send your listing(s) to (note your Broker’s current selections listed)

Brokers: You have ultimate control over where you would like to send your office’s listings. To make changes to your office's current syndication settings, use the Office Syndication Form, which can be found under your office's record in Add/Edit.

Unlock MLS Data Distribution Policy: When negotiating content display agreements on behalf of Unlock MLS brokers, Unlock MLS will utilize the Third Party Publisher Contractual Requirements to attain the highest possible member benefit for the display of content. All display content agreements will be approved by the Unlock MLS Advisory Group and/or Board of Directors. The display terms of all display agreements negotiated by Unlock MLS are to be posted/available for member review. Unlock MLS does not require brokers to utilize the agreements negotiated by Unlock MLS in order to display broker content on any portal; nor will Unlock MLS require brokers to utilize Unlock MLS distribution to deliver content to portals that have agreements with Unlock MLS. Unlock MLS will not limit broker “tool-of-choice” for broker directed content distribution.
