Sara Follin

Sara Follin is the Human Resources Director at ABoR. She holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from Texas A&M University and has a professional in human resource (PHR) certification designation. With over 15 years of experience in human resources across industries such as media, healthcare, and non-profit/business associations, Sara is passionate about HR operational excellence, continuous improvement, and top-notch customer service.

In her day-to-day role at ABoR, she oversees the strategic direction, planning, coordination, administration, and evaluation of the human resources function, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent development, employee engagement, legal compliance, compensation, and benefits. Prior to joining ABoR, Sara was the HR Manager at the Texas Association of School Boards.

Sara is a national and local SHRM chapter member and has worked in various roles and industries. She is also a proud AmeriCorps*NCCC alum and former statewide AmeriCorps program staffer. Her undergraduate degree is in Literature and Africana Studies from the University of Houston.

As a lifelong Austinite, Sara loves the off-the-beaten-path swimming holes, greenbelts, live music of all styles, and chill vibes of Austin and Central Texas. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her two children, traveling, swimming, and hiking. When not working, she can be found indulging in a good Netflix binge or reading magical realism.
